PRHC contains newsfeed and resource tabs with posts relating to immigration and newcomer issues, specifically as they relate to mental health, wellness, culture and belonging. Newcomers face increased instances of isolation, culture shock, loneliness, and depression, but PRHC provides a number of supports to help ease the transition.
Both newcomers to Canada and the general public are encouraged to download the app to keep up-to-date with resources and news concerning these issues, as well as volunteer and programming opportunities, citizenship preparation, language courses and more at the Peterborough Multicultural Association.
